Tips for Students

Self-discipline, in particular, manifests itself in the fact that a person can do his or her job without paying attention to emotions. However, we are talking about "cunning methods", right? Therefore, we should try to make emotions an ally, not an enemy. To do this, try to control your mood during working hours. To achieve the right, working mood is easier if you use the above described skeleton of the day. For example, it helps me to run early in the morning: you wake up in a flash, thoughts run faster, there is purely physical joy and anticipation of the new day. And then it is important to "pick up" this mood, not to lose it until the evening, when it should be replaced by a pleasant fatigue and satisfaction from a worthy day lived. Worthy of living - in particular, it means that there were no problems with self-discipline.

(Self-discipline in itself can be a source of positive emotions - a taste for an orderly life slowly appears, and it is simply pleasant to know that you manage your own time as much as possible for a person).
Set goals and achieve them with self-discipline
It's pretty obvious. Self-discipline, although not muscular, still needs to be consistently pumped. Set the necessary, significant for you goal (yes, at least properly sit at the computer!) and perceive it as a training for self-discipline - then the achievement of the goal will be much easier (you achieve it as if in passing). Then - the new purpose. Repeat until you lose the pulse as much as necessary. There is no need to set global goals at once. Start with a little bit - even the smallest bit. If you think that it is too easy - the better, the faster you will achieve. Better underload than overload.

In addition to these basics, I recommend that you also remember that:

Self-discipline is not a goal, but a means. Don't get too carried away with it. Sometimes the desire to arrange everything comes to the point of absurdity, and vice versa hinders the work.
Self-discipline - only one of the sides of your personality's self-development. Important, but not the only one. And it should not run counter to your global goals, ideals and meaning of life, on the contrary, it is obliged to harmonize with all this. This principle is violated much more often than one might think. Self-discipline is now in fashion. Therefore, trying to order their lives, people (unconsciously) often follow the fashion. For example, you can see in blogs about self-development posts about how cool and important it is to get up at 5 am. And people start to pull themselves out of bed with roosters, spitting on the natural features of their bodies, without thinking about whether this manifestation of self-discipline is suitable for them personally. (The authors of such recommendations, of course, are not to blame - in their case it can work perfectly. Everyone is different - and discipline is different too).
It is necessary to "let oneself go" regularly, and there is no need to be too careful with self-discipline. Approach it, as well as in general to self-development, calmly, without fanaticism.
Basically everything, however - I repeat - this article is not exhaustive. After all, self-discipline is not only the ability not to be distracted by useless deeds and not to waste time in vain. Self-discipline is also self-discipline:

- ability to achieve one's own goals despite distractions
- the ability to control one's thoughts without allowing harmful and destructive
- the ability to fully concentrate on the problem
- ability to work for their own purposes without seeing immediate results

It's a long list. But I'd rather write about each item sometime.

I wish you to successfully develop self-discipline and in general everything you need!
